Cryotherapy for Benign Lesions

Cryotherapy is a quick, precise, and minimally invasive treatment that removes unwanted skin lesions by freezing the targeted tissue with medical-grade nitrous oxide.
It’s suitable for skin tags, warts, milia, cherry angiomas, and seborrhoeic keratoses — no dermatologist review required for clearly benign lesions.

Cryotherapy Pricing

  • Small (1–3 mm) – £70 (up to 2 lesions)

  • Medium (4–8 mm) – £90 per lesion

  • Large (8 mm +) – £120 per lesion

  • Additional lesions (same session) – £30 each

  • Follow-up freeze (within 6 weeks) – £40

What to Expect

  1. Consultation – I’ll assess your skin and discuss the best approach for you.

  2. Assessment (if mole/pigmented) – Dermatoscopic imaging sent to a consultant dermatologist for review.

  3. Treatment – Benign lesions or confirmed benign moles treated in clinic with CryoPen.

  4. Aftercare – Full guidance provided to support healing and prevent scarring.

Mole Assessment (Map My Mole)

If you’ve noticed a mole or pigmented lesion that’s new, raised, or changing, it’s important to have it checked before removal.
Your mole is photographed in clinic using a dermatoscope and securely reviewed by a UK Consultant Dermatologist.
You’ll receive a written report within 24–48 hours confirming if it’s benign or needs further investigation.

Mole Assessment Pricing

  • 1 Mole – £95

  • Each Additional Mole – £35

  • 3-Mole Bundle – £160

If the mole is confirmed benign, it can then be safely removed in clinic using Cryotherapy (CryoPen).
Assessment fees are credited towards the removal cost.

Benign Mole Removal Pricing

  • Small (up to 3 mm) – £120

  • Medium (4–8 mm) – £150

  • Large (8 mm +) – £180

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does the appointment take?
Most consultations and treatments take 20–30 minutes, depending on how many lesions are being reviewed or treated.

Is Cryotherapy painful?
You may feel a short, cold sting during freezing; this settles quickly. Discomfort is mild and usually doesn’t require anaesthetic.

How many sessions will I need?
Most lesions clear after one session. Larger or thicker ones may need a follow-up freeze after 4–6 weeks.

Will it leave a scar?
Cryotherapy usually heals well with minimal or no scarring. Following aftercare advice is key to good results.

When will I see results?
The treated area crusts and flakes within 7–14 days. Fresh new skin then forms underneath.

Do I need to see my GP first?
Not always. If you’re worried about a mole or lesion and can’t get a GP appointment quickly, I can provide an assessment through the Map My Mole service and refer you if any concern is found.
